Casio SE-C450

Casio SE-C450

The Casio SE-C450 features 72 programmable buttons, which means you will be getting accurate management reports from the machine to be able make decisions on what items are selling well or not so well. As each item has a dedicated button showing a description, the price and the VAT status, which helps prevent wastage and pilfering.

Also, the staff only have to press the ‘jam donut’ or ‘ice finger’ buttons, rather than having to remember individual item prices – only having to hit one button rather than two or three speeds up service. Because of this feature, it’s ideal for a fast paced busy high street bakery.

We recommend a rubber wet-cover to prevent the crumbs/flour etc damaging the keyboard.

Casio SE-C450 Cash Tray

This cash register Casio sec 450 has a full size cash drawer, featuring for 8 coin and 4 note compartments, allowing for every UK monetary denomination – again, this means faster serving times as the coins are readily available and not mixed.

Sharp XE-A 217

The Sharp XE-A 217 features 70 programmable buttons, which enables accurate management reports from the machine to tell what items are selling well – this also prevents staff theft.

This machine is also quicker for staff, as they only press the button (‘custard slice’ for example), rather than having to remember the prices of all the individual items – this in turn, reduces customer queueing times.

The Sharp XE-A 217 is perfect for a fast-paced busy high street bakery.

Although it has a slightly smaller footprint than the Casio Se-C450, the cash drawer is deeper and it still features an 8 coin and 4 note compartment tray, but the layout of the notes is slightly different – 3 flat and 2 sideways.

This handheld barcode scanner can be lifted from its holster to scan items out of reach.

As you can see form the picture, this machine has the ability to connect to a barcode scanner – this is great for items like chocolate bars and cans or bottles of drink. Using a barcode scanner also means you can introduce offers, such as BOGOF (buy One Get One Free) etc…

The Casio SE-S10 Cash Register

Casio SE-S10 Cash Register

Casio SE-S10 Cash Register

The Casio SE-S10 cash register is similar to its smaller counterpart, the Casio SE-G1, a till liked by the smaller businesses that don’t see big number transactions every day. Although the smaller version is enough for many, the Casio SE-S10 offers more useful features.

Casio SE-S10 Paper Roll Change

Casio SE-S10 Paper Roll Change

The Casio SE-S10 has the ability to save receipt paper in that it features a function allowing you turn off the thermal receipt printer. When you do need to change the receipt paper roll you simply lift the arm labelled “PUSH HERE”, drop in the paper roll, pull the paper over the teeth and push the arm into place.

Thermal (heat activated) paper means no messy ink cartridges or expensive refills. The Casio SE-S10 paper rolls required come in two sizes: 57-mm x 50-mm or 57-mm x 30-mm and can be purchased on our Paper Rolls page.

Casio SE-S10 Cash Drawer

Casio SE-S10 Cash Drawer

Where the Casio SE-G1 only features 3 note and four coin compartments, the Casio SE-S10 has 4 note (£5, £10, £20 and £50) and 8 coin (1p, 2p, 5p. 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2), meaning there’s no need to mix coins or notes.

Casio SE-S10

Casio SE-S10

Although it does feature a full-size drawer, the Casio SE-S10 isn’t a massive machine, so it’s still a good choice if space is a concern. Its width is 410-mm, its height 204-mm, and length 450-mm. Its height includes the four rubber feet the cash till sits upon, preventing any slippage and allowing it to be placed on glass surfaces.

casio_se-s10_drawer-lock

Casio SE-S10 Cash Drawer Lock

The cash drawer is made from steel and is weighty and secure. If you have to leave the till unattended for any length of time, the drawer can be locked by key. The cash tray is also removable and easily slides out if the contents need to be stored elsewhere overnight. If you require more than one cash tray insert, they can be purchased on our parts page.

Casio SE-S10 Modes

Casio SE-S10 Modes

Casio SE-S10 Keys

Casio SE-S10 Keys

The Casio SE-S10 comes with 2 different operating keys (OP & PGM) and 2 keys for the cash drawer lock. The OP key would usually be given to an employee as it only allows the user to run the till in REG (register) mode and to switch the till off. The business owner would use the PGM key as it allows access to all of the modes. You can see how lost cash register keys can cause a headache.

Casio SE-S10 Keyboard

The Casio SE-S10 keyboard is a simple layout, with all departments and functions easily recognisable. The only drawback with its raised keys is if the cash register is being used within a food/drink environment – if moisture/food gets in-between the gaps and into the machine, it could permanently damage the cash register. We have posted a feature on the importance of  wet covers before, so a quick read should guide you if you require purchasing a  splash proof keyboard cover.

casio_se-s10_box_opened_contents_out

When you open the till’s box, it’s contents include a User’s Manual, however, the Casio SE-S10 instruction manual is available to download on our website.

We also provide help videos on both our website and our YouTube channel. If you are struggling with a certain aspect of setting the cash register up, such as entering your details on the receipt print out, our Casio SE-S10 help videos will run you through each step. Our technician is filmed with the cash register, explaining each step clearly as though you were having a 1-to-1 lesson.

Below is an example of our technician demonstrating the Casio SE-S10’s features. These videos are also a good way of seeing if the machine is right for you and comparing to other models.
